Can I use an electric mixer instead of a blender for a smoothie?
It’s around 12:36 AM here and I don’t want to wake anyone up with my loud blender. However,my electric mixer is a lot more quiet and I am REALLY craving a banana smoothie(just some vanilla, half a banana, milk, ice cubes, the regular stuff). Can I use my electric mixer instead of using the blender? Thanks everyone.

Unfortunately darling, you can’t use your electric mixer in making your midnight craving for smoothie. Logically, your ice cubes will not be crushed given that electric mixers have whisk attachments, and do not have blades like those in blenders. Better make that smoothie of yours in the morning instead when everyone is all up

Good look trying to mix those ice cubes. No…. it is not a good alternative. Icecubes don’t do so hot…. going through a mixer.

No, the mixer won’t work. How big are your ice cubes? Why not just try stirring it by hand and leaving the ice cubes out? Or add them in after everything else is stirred just to chill the drink and then throw the ice cubes out later.

You can use a food processor or a blender.. Sorry no mixer..
You can play a trick.. Mix every thing with mixer and dump it on the ice cubes. It wont be same but.. what the heck, its midnight!
